What could the future of food look like across the Boundary? Healthy local food systems help rural communities thrive, and the best ideas often come from the people who know those communities best. This September, the Boundary's Social Hackathon will focus on one shared challenge: Food.
Join residents, producers, businesses, organizations, students, and community leaders for a day of collaborative problem-solving designed to turn local knowledge into practical ideas. Rather than simply talking about community challenges, you'll help build solutions alongside others who care about the future of the Boundary.
At the same time, three other Kootenay communities will be doing the same with challenges chosen by their own communities, creating a connected day of innovation across the region. One day. Four communities. Hundreds of local ideas helping shape a stronger future for the Kootenays.
