#HACKVAN2026 - Solving Real Problems Using Code & More in the Name of Jesus. Hosted by FaithTech Vancouver and Indigitous.
Mission & Vision: #HACKVAN2026 exists to help redemptive organizations leverage tech to accelerate their impact. Within 48 hours, we will design, develop, and user-test Minimum Viable Products to address problems faced by these organizations.

Project Descriptions:
Planter Flow - Helping BC church planters plan, set, and share their goals so that they can be better supported and cared for by their planting coaches in their missionary work. Project Host: Paul Wicki (Church Planting Catalyst for BC and Yukon, SEND Network Canada).
CareRide Platform - Helping Salvation Army staff request and coordinate free/paid transportation with partner organizations so that vulnerable clients without digital access can safely reach essential services like hospitals and shelters. Project Host: Alvin Chong (Director of Community Development, Salvation Army Canada Belkin Communities of Hope).
Who We Are: Our world is filled with chaos. Many people are panicking, despairing, or simply ignoring. We're different. We look chaos right in the eyes and proceed: building order. We innovate. We create new products, retrofit old processes, and lead digital transformation.
#HACKVAN2026 will be the 6th hackathon we have organized. Previously, we hosted: #HACKVAN2025, #HACK2021 - Vancouver, #HACK2022 - Vancouver, #HackPoverty23, #HACKVAN2023 and #HACKVAN2024. We come from all faith backgrounds (Muslim, atheists, New Age, and more) and are led by Christians. Our leaders' faith means two things: We will pray at the hackathon: inviting God into our work. We will work with eager expectation of a world as God designed it.

This event is for everyone from engineers and programmers to ministry leaders to designers. Our goal is to join together with the broader community, using tech and innovation as a means to help grow the Kingdom of God. Diversity makes us stronger.
